What is WALK30?
WALK30 is a friendly competition designed to encourage and inspire people in Metro Vancouver to establish a daily walking routine. This initiative aims to strengthen community connections, promote the benefits of walkable communities, and encourage more people to walk for transportation.
Participants can log their daily walking minutes, participate in free guided walks, and win prizes. In 2026 Walk30 will take place between April 1-April 30.
The objective?
Walk 30 minutes daily for 30 days.
Track your progress and compete with other municipalities, organizations, elementary schools, and individuals across Metro Vancouver for the highest total minutes of walking.

All participants who sign up AND log minutes will be entered to win a $500 MEC gift card!

Top Individual Prize
The top 10 participants with the Most Individual Minutes logged overall will be entered to win a $200 Patagonia Vancouver Prize Pack!
Top Municipality
The Municipality with the Most Minutes Logged Per Capita will win the iconic Shoephy Trophy!
Early Bird Registration Prize
